Life can become difficult in ways we do not always expect. You may be dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, substance use, family conflict, work-related stress, questions about identity or meaning, or a major transition in your life.
Sometimes the problem is clear. At other times, you may simply recognize that something needs to change. You do not have to navigate these challenges alone.
DelMar Behavioral Health & Recovery provides compassionate, professional behavioral-health and recovery services designed around the needs of individuals, couples and families.
Our approach recognizes that you are more than a diagnosis or the problem that brought you through our doors. We seek to understand the whole person—your experiences, emotions, thoughts, behaviors, relationships, health, culture, circumstances, strengths, values and, when important to you, spirituality.
Together, we work toward meaningful and sustainable change.
Depending upon the clinician, service, location and clinical appropriateness, DelMar may work with:

Some people know exactly what they want to address. Others simply feel overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or unsure about what needs to change. Wherever you are beginning, our goal is to help you feel heard, understood and supported while working toward meaningful change.

Mental-health, relationship and substance-use concerns rarely exist in isolation. Anxiety can affect relationships. Grief can affect work and family life. Addiction can affect physical health, finances, employment and entire families. Relationship difficulties can contribute to depression and anxiety. Traumatic experiences can influence how people understand themselves, other people and the world.
At DelMar, we recognize these connections. Our goal is not simply to identify symptoms. We seek to understand the person experiencing them and develop care that respects the complexity of human life.
Whole-Person Care
Human well-being can involve interacting psychological, emotional, behavioral, relational, biological, social, cultural, environmental, existential and spiritual dimensions.
Individualized Treatment
There is no single treatment approach appropriate for everyone. Care is developed around the client's needs, goals, circumstances, preferences, strengths and clinical presentation.
Evidence-Informed Practice
Care may draw upon recognized therapeutic approaches according to clinician training, client need and treatment goals.
Collaborative Care
Effective behavioral-health care is something we do with clients, not simply something done to them.
Recovery-Oriented Care
Recovery can involve rebuilding relationships, developing stability, strengthening coping skills, reconnecting with family and community, pursuing education or employment, rediscovering meaning and creating a sustainable life.
Compassion and human dignity
Clinical accountability
Inclusive and culturally responsive care
Respect for client values, culture and spirituality
Commitment to sustainable recovery and human flourishing
Integrated mental-health, relationship, addiction and recovery perspective
Understanding the cost of care should be simple. DelMar offers private-pay services and is working to expand participation with insurance plans. Insurance participation and payment options may vary by clinician, service, state, health plan and credentialing status.

You don’t have to have everything figured out before asking for help. Sometimes the first step is simply having a conversation. Tell us what brings you to DelMar and what you hope might change. We can help determine whether our services are appropriate for your needs and identify the next step.
